Active in Geneva from 2013 to 2023, Galerie Laurence Bernard represented Swiss and international contemporary artists known for their bold, multidisciplinary practices. Its inaugural exhibition, for example, offered thrill-seekers a truly immersive sensory experience, inviting the public to explore the wooded and clay-filled entrails of a monumental installation by LES FRÈRES CHAPUISAT.

In the same spirit—and with a desire to reshuffle the deck—the gallery placed great importance on collaboration and the exchange of perspectives by partnering, on several occasions and for the duration of an exhibition, with other galleries in order to promote the artists’ work as actively as possible. Thus, at the 2017 edition of Artissima in Turin, the galleries Anne-Sarah Benichou (Paris) and Laurence Bernard jointly presented, in a shared stand within the “Back to the Future” section, the historical work of Romanian artist MARION BARUCH. In the same vein, in May 2019 the gallery invited Parisian gallerist Kamel Mennour to its space, where he presented an exhibition by MARIE BOVO.

The gallery took part in numerous fairs, including Art-o-rama, Artissima, FIAC, Artgenève, ArtBrussels, Paréidolie, and ART PARIS.

In 2023, the gallery closed its space on Rue des Bains, but the artists continue to benefit from Laurence’s support through collaborations and exhibitions. For any information, please contact laurence@galerielaurencebernard.ch
