AWAKENING OUR SENSES AND STIRRING OUR CONSCIENCES
La Littorale is an open-air contemporary art biennial open to all, organised by the town of Anglet. In other words, a biennial event where the shoreline, ocean, river, sky and ephemeral works of art come together and confront each other. The Littorale then becomes a plastic and scenic proposition that captivates the spectator's attention. Under the artistic direction of Lauranne Germond - COAL (a collective acting for the emergence of a new culture of ecology and nature), this 8th edition of the biennial intends to awaken our senses and stir our consciousness, reminding us of our condition as living beings among the living. Around the theme of "The foam of the living", twelve artists celebrate life and movement, poetry and the living through their ephemeral works installed on the Anglet coastline.
Two routes of works are proposed at the Chambre d'Amour and at La Barre-Parc écologique Izadia. Specific to this edition, they are marked out by points of attention to the living and to our environment, thus blurring the boundaries between works and nature. An invitation to renew our relationship with art and nature and to intensify our presence in the world.
Twelve artists have been invited for their interest in ecological issues : ART ORIENTÉ OBJET, MARTINE FEIPEL & JEAN BECHAMEIL, JÉRÉMY GOBÉ, ELSA GUILLAUME, SÉVERINE HUBARD, ANGELIKA MARKUL, MIOSHE alias ANTOINE MARTINET, LAURENT PERNOT, BÉLEN RODRIGUEZ, STÉPHANE THIDET, LAURENT TIXADOR, JACQUES VIEILLE.
